Microsoft Power Apps Developer
Responsibilities
  • App Design & Development:
  • Design, develop, and customize applications using Power Apps to meet specific business needs.
  • Create model-driven apps, canvas apps, and portals based on business requirements.
  • Develop and configure custom workflows and automation using Power Automate (formerly Microsoft Flow).
  • Use Dataverse (formerly Common Data Service), SharePoint, APIs or other data sources to store and manage data for Power Apps solutions.
  • Integration & Customization:
  • Integrate Power Apps with external data sources such as Dynamics 365, SharePoint, SQL Server, Azure, and third-party APIs.
  • Customize Power Apps solutions by writing custom connectors and scripts using Power Automate or Azure Functions.
  • Collaborate with other teams to integrate Power Apps with other systems, including Microsoft Teams and Office 365..
  • Troubleshooting & Optimization:
  • Debug and troubleshoot applications to ensure performance, scalability, and security.
  • Perform optimization of Power Apps to improve performance and user experience.
  • Regularly update apps with new features and enhancements.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, understand processes, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Provide expertise on best practices for Power Apps development and low-code/no-code app creation.
  • Create functional and technical documentation for end-users and administrators.
  • Testing & Quality Assurance:
  • Perform unit testing and integration testing to ensure the quality and functionality of apps.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and make necessary modifications based on feedback.
  • Implement security protocols to ensure data safety and privacy within apps.
  • Training & Support:
  • Provide training to end-users and support teams on how to use and maintain Power Apps applications.
  • Offer ongoing support and troubleshooting for existing applications.
  • Create and maintain user documentation for applications.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in developing applications using Microsoft Power Apps (Canvas Apps, Model-driven Apps, or Power Portals).

  • Strong understanding of Power Platform (Power Automate, Power BI, Power Virtual Agents) and its integration capabilities.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dataverse, SharePoint, Dynamics 365, or Azure as data sources.
  • Proficiency in low-code/no-code development with the ability to write custom scripts and connectors (knowledge of JavaScript, HTML/CSS, C is a plus).
  • Familiarity with other Microsoft technologies like Office 365, Power BI, and Azure.
  • Knowledge of security, compliance, and governance within Power Platform.

  • Microsoft Power Platform certification is preferred.
