Microsoft Flow/Power Automate Developer
Responsibilities
  • Workflow Design & Development:
  • Design and develop automated workflows using Microsoft Power Automate to streamline business processes.
  • Implement both simple and complex flows for automating tasks, such as notifications, data synchronization, approval processes, and integrations.
  • Build custom connectors for integrating Power Automate with external applications and APIs.
  • Integration & Automation:
  • Integrate Power Automate with Microsoft products (e.g., SharePoint, Dynamics 365, Microsoft Teams, Office 365) and third-party applications (e.g., Salesforce, ServiceNow).
  • Use Power Automate to automate workflows across multiple platforms and services, ensuring seamless data flow and automation of business operations.
  • Work with Power Platform tools like Power Apps and Power BI to provide end-to-end solutions.
  • Optimization & Troubleshooting:
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing flows to improve performance and reliability.
  • Implement best practices for flow efficiency, error handling, and monitoring.
  • Regularly update and maintain flows based on evolving business requirements or system updates.
  • Collaboration & Requirements Gathering:
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and developers to gather and document requirements for workflow automation.
  • Understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions, focusing on process automation, efficiency, and user experience.
  • Provide strategic advice on automation opportunities and areas for improvement using Power Automate.
  • Testing & Quality Assurance:
  • Perform testing (unit, integration, and user acceptance) to ensure workflows are functioning as expected.
  • Document test cases, results, and provide feedback for any necessary changes before deployment.
  • Training & Support:
  • Create and provide training materials, user guides, and best practices for business users and technical teams.
  • Offer ongoing support for deployed workflows, troubleshooting issues, and applying necessary fixes or updates.
  • Educate end-users on how to manage and maintain flows independently.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
  • Maintain detailed technical documentation for all workflows and automations, including design, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Develop reports and dashboards using Power Automate and Power BI to monitor workflows, performance metrics, and overall efficiency.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Power Automate (formerly Flow) in designing, developing, and deploying workflows.
  • Strong understanding of automation and integration capabilities of Power Automate with other Microsoft services like SharePoint, Dynamics 365, Office 365, and Azure.
  • Knowledge of Power Platform tools, including Power Apps and Power BI, is a plus.
  • Experience in building custom connectors and integrating third-party services via APIs and web services (REST, SOAP).
  • Previous experience working with Sage X3 integration is a plus.
  • Understanding of scripting languages like JavaScript or PowerShell is a plus.
  • Familiarity with business process analysis, mapping, and optimization.
  • Microsoft Power Platform certification is highly desirable.
